Now that you are here you may as well know why you are doomed.      Read on...(if you can read that is).

AFL is a game which is based on ancient Greek warfare incorporating Phalanxes, Hoplites, Melees, Behinds and other incomprehensible manoeuvres under the direction of one or two miserable cheating little one eyed shits called referees.
(Homer was the first referee..... though in his defence we should say that he wrote up match reports.)
In the modern game of AFL many people get injured, which is why Ozies like to watch AFL.
AFL is as close to culture as the average Ozzie can get.......unless of course he is eating yoghurt.

AFL2*%# is a tipping competition created especially for the more cerebrally impaired Ozzie.   The competition combines idiotic rules together with ludicrous, though incisive, commentary on many subjects....most of the commentary having nothing whatsoever to do with footie.

The hub of AFL2*%# is the Tallyroom which is manned by JLP and HAL2008, who changes his name each year much in the manner that a snake changes its skin.       Last century, the Tallyroom was manned by more people.    However, due to the great insurance crisis, the tallyroom has had to sack half of its key personnel, namely TheSaint and Multivac, and seconde them to the Tallyroom on a contractual basis.

Our three most prestigious prizes are the Winner, the Woodie and the Wettie, though it should be noted that the $$$$ allocation to those prizes will not necessarily reflect their prestige.

GallupPoll....is a link we use occasionally....noteably when we have a GallupPoll.    A GallupPoll is a question put to Tipsters by Tallyroom personnel.      The whole concept of GallupPolls is to check to see if Tipsters are bothering to keep their finger on the AFL pulse for the duration of the season and to make sure they log into the website each week.      There is never a wrong or right answer to a GallupPoll....rather it is a litmus test of the opinions of Tipsters in our AFL competition and to make sure no Tipster has escaped.      Responses to GallupPolls, however inane they may be, earn Tipsters three points.    Non responses to GallupPolls earn no points.       GallupPolls are usually initiated by the Tallyroom when JLP is in need of points.
